About Danell Fields
Danell Fields was born and raised in Texas. She graduated from Baylor University with a BA and North Texas State University with a MS in Speech Pathology and Audiology. After settling in the Humble/Kingwood area, she worked for over twenty years at Rosewood Funeral Homes and Cemeteries. She is a tireless entrepreneur having founded Danell’s Gifts and Florals, earning her real estate license, and teaches as an adjunct professor at Lone Star College. She is also part owner in an antique business in Round Top, Texas and loves to act as tour guide on occasion for Kingwood Travel.
Danell’s greatest joy is working with students and mentoring them for their careers and their future. She has given to her community through her board memberships at Humble ISD Education Foundation, where she was the past chairman. She has served as board member or in leadership roles at Lake Houston YMCA, Lone Star College’s Foundation, New Caney ISD’s Foundation and is a Lifetime member of PTA. She is currently a member of the Board of Governors at ClubCorp’s Kingwood Country Club. Danell has been and is currently involved in and supported many local, state and national organizations, all of which improve life, education and health for others.
An creative innovator, Danell founded the Principal of the Day event in New Caney/Splendora/Caney Creek. She is founder of the women’s group “Stilettos” which meets monthly to inspire women, create positive friendship and networking possibilities.
She has been recognized for her contributions to the community with awards such as volunteer of the year from the YMCA and American Heart Association, Family Time Women of Achievement award, the parent award from Kingwood Park High School Booster Club, and a host of other educational organizations and events. She was awarded the Small Business award from Lone Star College Foundation, and Small Business Award from Community Chamber of Commerce. She also completed the East Montgomery County Leadership class which meets for a year.
On a personal level, Danell enjoys cooking, photography, art, and refinishing antiques/crafts. She is especially proud of her two grown sons, her daughter-n-law, and her precious grandchild. She is also a member of Second Baptist Church.
